If you have dry skin then you probably struggle with many different skin issues. Premature aging is, perhaps, one of the top concerns for people with dry skin as it skin wrinkles far quicker than other skin types. To make things worse, dry skin can also be quite sensitive to some skin care products.

Now a question arises, if you have dry skin, are you doing anything about anti aging skin care? If you haven’t already, you may have to make a few changes in your skin care routine, but they’ll be worth it once you see the results.

Dry Skin & Skin Regeneration

For the most part, anti aging skin care for dry skin is the same as general skin care for dry skin.

Tip One – Don’t forget to Moisturize

The best anti aging tip for dry skin is to moisturizer frequently. Dry skin is called such because of its lack of moisture. It’s this lack of moisture that can lead to tightness, itching, and wrinkling. The level of involvement you have with your skin care routine will depend on the type of moisturizer you are using and frequency of application.

Generally speaking, apply moisturizer at least twice a day as part of your daily cleansing routine. However, if it usually requires extra moisture during the day, reapply. If your skin is extremely dry, then you should try using a non-comedogenic oil like olive oil instead of a cream.

If you use olive oil as a cleanser, you might not need to use it as a moisturizer. This, however, will depend on the dryness of your skin.

Tip Two – Moderate your Showering Time

Long, hot showers will strip your skin of its natural oils. Shorter, cooler showers are a better choice for dry skin.

Pat your skin dry immediately after showering so that you don’t take all the moisture from your skin. Don’t forget to apply body lotion and moisturizer as soon as you have dried off.

Tip Three – Avoid Soaps

If you have dry skin you should always avoid using soapy cleansers, instead, reach for a cream cleanser. This will allow you to clean your skin without removing precious moisture. If your skin is too dry, use olive oil instead.

Tip Four – Maintain Environment Humidified

Central heating and air conditioning can make the atmosphere in your house dry. This doesn’t seem like something that should concern you, but it will eventually dry out your skin as well. This is why it is a good idea to use a humidifier to maintain the humidity level in your house.

Tip Five – Anti Aging Creams

You can also use a traditional anti aging cream if your skin can tolerate it. However, if your skin reacts too strongly to traditional skin care products, you can choose to use natural skin products. Natural products can treat your skin without causing side-effects.
